Fifteen Dogs Book Review

Fifteen Dogs written by the Canadian author André Alexis was a great read. This novel took me about 8 hours total to read at 171 pages long.

Topic wise this book wasn't the easiest to read, as it is set in Toronto (which was great) it does speak to negative actions towards strays and the negative events that can occur between a dog pack. Topics which are super realistic, was for me harder to read, anything with animal suffering turns into a hard time. Weird that this book caused me trouble as I love true crime, guess animals make me mushy.

Style wise this book was fantastic, I am someone who is very picky on textures and fonts, found this to be amazing. The paper used made it great to read, the colouring gave great contrast to the writing which was written in a clear to read (won't lose your spot) font.

Style: 5/5

Story: 4/5(because I was a bit sensitive)

Would I read again? Yes, I wouldn't be against rereading it and trying from a different perspective.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely! It was a great read overall and satisfying style of book. No regret reading it what so ever.

What's next? I have just picked up another André Alexis novel 'Ring', to hopefully read next!

Keep an eye out for an update on that novel and other book reviews coming up!

Cheers! xo
